I’m Maria Halstead an artist from Seattle, Washington currently splitting my time in San Diego, CA and Port Townsend, WA.  Also, lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a bit to learn Spanish language fluently.

My background over the years has inspired me to start painting recently during the pandemic years 2020-2021 using acrylic on canvas.

I decided to establish a portfolio of my work to share with others, so that others may be inspired and motivated to explore the beauty around us.

I am a lover of the arts.  In addition to painting I also enjoy photography, Latin dancing, playing piano, theatre, world travel, languages, and food cuisine. 

I am passionate about wine and am a certified sommelier.  Having done a couple vintages of home wine making.

By day I work in technology and observe how it is changing the world in innovative and creative ways which is a privilege to be a part of.
